Distributed Learning Communities

Founded and led one of the world’s most progressive online, self-directed schools.

Children learning together, from the Kubrio website

As the founder and leader of one of the world’s most progressive online, self-directed schools for children aged 8 to 18, spanning 30 countries, I oversaw the design, staffing and optimisation of innovative education products, including coach-led pods, clubs and boot camps. My role involved managing relationships and delivery across the technology team, parents, educators and students.

During my tenure, I attracted and onboarded over 600 new students and families, maintaining a churn rate of less than 5%. I also recruited, led and supported over 50 educators through new product launches, student and parent liaison, technology upgrades and professional development.

Navigating extensive technology changes, I embedded processes across all stakeholder groups to keep operations running smoothly. As lead educator and senior liaison, I built strong relationships with parents, addressing complex student and family needs and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.

I led marketing efforts including hosting podcasts and Clubhouse discussions, interviews and video recordings, and oversaw large-scale communication, engagement and change management such as quarterly presentations and monthly info sessions. I directed the marketing team across email, social media and funnel optimisation, and supported fundraising by engaging with investors, developing pitch decks and researching market needs.
