Social Entrepreneurship Summer Programme
A three-day programme where students designed ventures to improve the lives of older people.

As curriculum developer and instructional designer for a social entrepreneurship summer programme at Harrow International School in Hong Kong, I crafted an engaging learning experience for students aged 8 to 16. Over three days, students took part in leadership and entrepreneurship training, followed by workshops focused on social entrepreneurship skills.
Our mission was to empower students to tackle a real challenge: improving the lives of older people. The workshops encouraged empathy, creativity, teamwork and practical application of business concepts.
On Day 1, students stepped into the shoes of older people through interactive games and customer interviews. They developed persona maps to identify the social challenges older people face, then worked together to ideate solutions and create storyboards or demos.
Day 2 focused on bringing those ideas to life. Students developed business models, created storefronts or apps for their social enterprises, and learned how to launch online or offline. They presented their work in a marketplace, taking on roles such as caretakers to give peer feedback and vote on the top solutions.
I also developed and trained the team of facilitators who guided students through the curriculum, equipping them to lead interactive activities, facilitate discussions and give valuable feedback. Three sessions ran in July 2023, each with 90 students working in teams of 10.
